Today was a skip lunch day due to a PET scan stress test. It was a beautiful day so I used my lunch break for photography since I couldn’t have anything to eat four hours prior to the test and no caffeine 24 hours before the test. So keeping busy was a good thing under the circumstances. The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is only a few minutes from my office and is a nice place to spend a lunch break on most any day.

I apologize in advance because I can’t identify the plant I photographed. I was shooting some flowers nearby and liked the way the light was hitting these leaves. There were a few other shots that could have made the daily photo for today and I threw them in the Bonus Tracks Gallery (they are the first 3 images).
